Leicestershire quartet agree extended contracts

Leicestershire quartet Will Jefferson, Josh Cobb, Greg Smith and Alex Wyatt have agreed new contracts.

Batsmen Jefferson, 32, Smith, 23, Cobb, 21, and seam bowler Wyatt, 21 have all committed themselves until 2013.

Chief executive Mike Siddall told the club website, external: "We are delighted. All four will play another two seasons for us at least.

"And if we can get things moving in that period of time then, hopefully, they will all want to stay for longer."

Meanwhile, pace bowler Robbie Joseph, 29, has signed a short-term contract until the end of May 2012.
