Cornwall set to host first England international

England's Arran Brindle will hope to be taking wickets at Truro

Cornwall will host its first ever international cricket match this summer when England's women take on India in a one-day international.

The two sides will meet at Truro in on Sunday, 8 July in the fourth match of the five-game series between the sides.

The game is the highlight of the Cornish Cricket Festival.

World Cup winners England will also take on the number-three ranked India at Lord's, twice at Taunton and once at Wormsley near High Wycombe.

England are currently preparing for next month's tour of New Zealand.
