Kent heading for large advantage against Northants

Kent are heading for a large lead after they reduced Northants to 132 all out.

Alex Wakely top-scored for the hosts with 33 as Matt Coles (3-32), Darren Stevens (3-38) and Charlie Shreck (3-42) all impressed with the ball.

Ben Harmison scored 46 in reply for Kent before he was run out late on, although Brendan Nash was still there on 40 as Kent finished on 127-3.

Jack Brooks (2-40) was the pick of the Northants bowlers as he picked up the wickets of Scott Newman and Rob Key.
