Brothers Will and Alex Gidman shone for Gloucestershire on the third day of their Division Two clash against Kent.
The hosts started the day on 119-6 but were all out for 150 as Will Gidman ended with bowling figures of 5-43.
Kent's Darren Stevens top scored with 54 as Gloucestershire held a first-innings advantage of 105 runs.
The visitors then reached 191-3 as Alex Gidman (60 not out), Hamish Marshall (55 not out) and Richard Coughtrie (40) built Gloucestershire a large lead.
