Liam Dawson gives Hampshire advantage over Leicestershire

Liam Dawson took three wickets to put Hampshire on top against Leicestershire on a rain-shortened day at Southampton.

Among the spinner's victims were Greg Smith and Ramnaresh Sarwan, who made 68 and 46 respectively.

Leicestershire offered little otherwise, with Kadeer Ali, Jacques Du Toit and Matthew Boyce contributing just 36 between them.

And Dawson struck late on to remove Nadeem Malik for one as Leicestershire finished the opening day on 159-6.
