Chaminda Vaas ruled out of Northants season with injury

Northants' Chaminda Vaas will miss the rest of the season due to injury.
The Sri Lankan, 38, signed a contract extension after being named the club's player of the season, external last year.
But he last played for the county against Glamorgan in July and has not recaptured last season's form.
Northants Cricket chief executive David Smith said: "This is disappointing news for Chaminda and the team. He played such an important role over the past couple of years."
Vaas has played in six County Championship matches this season, taking six wickets, in a campaign blighted by injuries. He also took seven wickets from seven Twenty20 games.
It is a stark contrast to the 2011 campaign when he claimed 70 County Championship wickets and hit 403 runs.
Northants lie fifth in Division Two of the Championship and could still secure promotion, although their hopes of reaching the CB40 semi-finals have already been dashed.
