England bowler Tim Bresnan has been cleared to play for Yorkshire in the Twenty20 finals day on Saturday.

The England and Wales Cricket Board said on Wednesday that Bresnan would not be available because it wanted to rest him ahead of the World Twenty20.

However, it was announced on Friday that the 27-year-old would be allowed to play in the Cardiff showpiece.

In their debut appearance in a finals day, Yorkshire face Sussex in the first semi-final at the Swalec Stadium.

The absence of Bresnan would have been a major blow to Yorkshire, who are already without Australian bowler Mitchell Starc after his stay with the club came to an end.
