Just 3.2 overs were bowled on the final day at Hove as rain meant Warwickshire and Sussex had to settle for a draw.
The home side added only five runs to their overnight score to move to 421-7 before the rain arrived.
The umpires tried to get underway again at 14:00 BST but the rain returned and they decided to call the game off just 30 minutes later.
Ben Brown was left stranded on 82, while James Anyon was unbeaten on 24 at the other end.
County champions Warwickshire at least maintained their unbeaten start in six first-class matches under new coach Dougie Brown.
