Jersey hope to learn from County Championship Division One side Middlesex when the sides meet in a T20 match at Grainville on Tuesday.

The island side take part in the ICC European Division One T20 championships in Sussex next month.

"It'll be great to see how they do it," Jersey Cricket Board's chief executive Chris Minty told BBC South West Sport., external

"We're hoping it'll give our guys an insight into how the professionals do things and we can learn from them."

Jersey are bidding to make the global qualifiers for the Twenty20 World Cup for the first time, after finishing third in 2011.

Minty continued, "Middlesex coming over is great for the profile of cricket on the island.

"We're not expecting the game to be competitive as they're a full-time professional outfit, but it'll be great preparation for next month."
