Glamorgan 126-1 (15.2 overs) beat Somerset 125-6 (20 overs) by nine wickets |
Glamorgan maintained their winning start to the FL t20 season with an easy nine-wicket victory over Somerset.
Somerset's Marcus Trescothick ended a run of four successive ducks with seven before falling to Graham Wagg (3-29).
Peter Trego top scored with 42 off 45 balls as the visitors struggled to 125-6 off 20 overs.
In reply, Mark Wallace (30) shared 51 with Jim Allenby (47no), before the latter combined with Chris Cooke (42no) to see Glamorgan home in the 16th over.
"It was a good win," Allenby told BBC Radio Wales.
"We bowled well but the real difference was the way we batted.
"We'd seen the wicket and played on it and knew what to expect. I think they expected something a bit different and they didn't get going for six overs."
The Australian all-rounder also paid tribute to a bumper crowd of more than 9,000 who turned up on a sweltering evening in Cardiff.
"They made a real difference, they really gave us a lift," he added.
