Worcestershire's Tom Fell has signed a two-year contract to keep him at New Road until the end of the 2015 season.

The 19-year-old batsman, who previously played for Oxford University, came through the club's academy system.

And he has now extended his stay after making first-class career best figures of 94 not out against Kent.

"I'm not going back to university next year as the opportunity to get the full-time contract came my way," he told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

"Thankfully my decent run of form has meant my decision has paid off.

"I've let the university now as I don't want to burn any bridges so obviously if the cricket doesn't go my way I want to keep my options open.

"You never know what can happen with injuries so it's something I will look to do in the future - go back and finish my degree."
