Minor Counties: Shropshire's unbeaten run ended by Berkshire

Shropshire's hopes of the Minor Counties Western Division title suffered a blow as Berkshire ended their unbeaten run this summer.

Berkshire set Shropshire a second-innings target of 280 at Whitchurch, after the hosts forfeited their first innings in a bid to force a result.

Despite captain Richard Oliver's 102 and 62 from Omar Ali, Shropshire were all out for 257, just 24 runs short.

And that denied Shropshire an 11th straight win in competitive fixtures.

Richard Logan was the chief architect of the hosts' demise, taking seven wickets, including the final man to fall Dan Bowen.
