Leicestershire gave themselves a chance of salvaging a draw against Glamorgan as they ended a rain-hit day on 134-2.
The hosts declared on 508-9 after adding 63 to their overnight total with Michael Hogan scoring a quickfire 27no.
Hogan picked up the wicket of Greg Smith for 18 and Niall O'Brien fell for 29 to Andrew Salter but Ned Eckersley stood firm with an unbeaten 54.
Rain meant just four overs were possible after tea as Leicestershire finished still 171 adrift.
