Prolific seam bowler Michael Hogan was named Glamorgan's 2013 player of the year at the club's awards dinner.

Hogan, 32, won the award after taking 103 wickets in his first season of county cricket, including 67 in the County Championship and 28 in the YB40.

The Australian is also on the shortlist for the Professional Cricketers' Association player of the year prize.

"[I've] thoroughly enjoyed my season but I would trade [the award] for a Lord's final win," he said.

Hogan helped Glamorgan to a Lord's showpiece for the first time in 13 years, but they lost the YB40 final to Nottinghamshire by 87 runs.

He is the first Glamorgan bowler to take more than 100 wickets in a season since fellow Australian Michael Kasprowicz claimed 105 victims in 2003.

Hogan, who took career-best figures of 7-92 against Gloucestershire in the Championship encounter at Bristol, is shortlisted for the PCA player of the year award along with Worcestershire's Moeen Ali, Samit Patel of Nottinghamshire and Durham's Graham Onions.

"[I'm] humble to be part of that group in my first season. I didn't expect it," said the Western Australian, who has signed a contract with Glamorgan until the end of the 2016 season.

All-rounder Jim Allenby, who scored 2,000 runs in all cricket, was named Glamorgan's one-day player of the year for the second year running

Murray Goodwin, who scored 1,263 runs in four-day cricket, received the award as Championship player of the year while 20-year-old off-spinner Andrew Salter, from Pembrokeshire, was named young player of the year.
