England v Sri Lanka: Chris Jordan backed to make Test impact

Steve Magoffin has backed Sussex team-mate Chris Jordan to shine should he makes his Test debut for England against Sri Lanka this week.
Paceman Jordan, 25, impressed for England in the recent one-day series against the tourists.
"It is the right time for him to come into the side and really make an impact," Magoffin told BBC Sussex.
"He has done that in the short form and there is no reason why he shouldn't do that in Test cricket as well."
Barbados-born Jordan has done well with bat and ball since making his international debut in the home series against Australia last year and was handed an incremental contract by the England and Wales Cricket Board in March.
He hit 38 from 13 balls and took 3-25 in the first one-dayer against Sri Lanka at The Oval, and returned the best figures by an England bowler at Old Trafford with 5-29 in match three.
Jordan was rewarded with his first call-up to the Test squad last week and is expected to feature in the first Test at Lord's, which begins on Thursday.
His involvement with England has limited him to two games for Sussex in the County Championship this summer, in which he took 11 wickets at an average of 19.27.
"He is performing out of his skin at the moment," Australian seam bowler Magoffin added.
"Chris has worked hard since coming to the club last year. He is dedicated to his game and improving, and is so precise with everything.
"We are excited for him in the changing room and certainly wish him all the best if he plays."
Jordan joined Sussex from Surrey at the end of 2012 and last season took 59 Championship wickets and scored 408 runs for the Hove side.
Following a frustrating time at The Oval, Magoffin believes the move to Sussex has reinvigorated Jordan.
"Sussex need to be proud with their involvement in his progress," the 34-year-old said.
"He was at a stage at Surrey where he perhaps didn't know where his cricket was heading.
"To see such a transformation in such a short period of time shows what natural ability there is in the guy and it is great we have been able to provide an environment for him to display that and get a lot better."
