Northants sign Adam Rossington from Middlesex on loan

Rossington has not played a first-class match since early May

Northants have signed Middlesex wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Rossington on a month's loan to play in all formats.

The 21-year-old has scored 25 runs from his five County Championship innings this season, averaging five.

He has averaged 19 in first-class cricket since making his debut in 2010 and 32 in one-day games.

"We currently have some batting injuries. We decided it is important to reinforce our batting depth," said Northants coach David Ripley.

"Adam has good experience in all formats and we are delighted that he has agreed to join us for the next month.

"We would also like to thank Middlesex for agreeing to release Adam to us."
