Glamorgan batsman Jacques Rudolph said the Welsh county should be proud of their T20 Blast campaign despite the nature of their last eight defeat against Lancashire.

Chasing 138 to win, the Welsh county were going well at 92-2 before seamer Jordan Clark (4-22) reduced them to 100-6.

Rudolph hit an 67 but Glamorgan fell short losing by one run.

"I think we can keep our heads held high," said Rudolph.

"We can be quite proud of our performances in this campaign.

"It's quite sad standing here not going through to the finals."

"It leaves a bit of a sour taste in your mouth losing by one run."

Veteran South African Rudolph hit his runs off 49 balls, despite suffering a shoulder injury fielding.

He said he and the team will regroup for Wednesday's trip to Canterbury to play Kent in the One-Day Cup.

"You've got to get yourself up for every game regardless of what happened in the previous match," said Rudolph.

"I think we'll be ready by Wednesday. We've got quite good momentum."
