Steven Davies: New deal for Surrey wicketkeeper-batsman

Surrey wicketkeeper-batsman Steven Davies has signed a new two-year contract, which will keep him at The Oval until the end of the 2016 season.

The 28-year-old scored 937 runs in Division Two of the County Championship last season, at an average of 40.73.

Davies was also Surrey's leading run-scorer in the One-Day Cup, with his 287 runs coming at an average of 41.

The left-hander has made 13 limited-overs appearances for England, the most recent of those coming in 2011.
