Wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Brown and all-rounder Harry Finch have signed new deals with Sussex to the end of 2016.

Brown, 26, has scored 2,970 runs and taken 177 catches in 67 first-class matches since making his debut in 2007.

He made a career-best 163 against Durham last season.

Finch, 20, a Sussex youth academy graduate like Brown before him, who signed his first professional contract in 2013, made his T20 debut last season and also featured in the One-Day Cup.

It was in the 50-over format that he produced his best performance, scoring an unbeaten 92 from 58 balls against Glamorgan in the group stages of the competition.

"It's really exciting news that both players have extended their contracts," said Sussex head coach Mark Davis.

"Both have exciting futures and the fact that they are homegrown players is a testament to our youth and academy system. We look forward to seeing how they progress over the next couple of seasons."
