Shropshire are looking to put their poor one-day form behind them when they play their first Minor Counties Championship game of 2015 on Sunday.

Shropshire open with a three-day game against neighbours Cheshire at Heath Road, Whitchurch (7-9 June).

It comes after they lost all four of their qualifying group games in the 50-over Knockout Trophy.

They then went down again on Sunday in Herefordshire in the inaugural Twenty20 qualifying competition at Eastnor.

Up against an experienced Oxfordshire side, Shropshire got off to a good start thanks to Omar Ali (55) and Ross Aucott (33) but were bowled out for 129 in the 20th over.

Oxfordshire then reached their target in 17.3 overs, despite Sam Whitney taking 3-21.

In the final of the four-team qualifying group, Oxfordshire beat Herefordshire to book their place at finals day at Banbury on 12 July.
