David Griffiths: Kent bowler to miss rest of season

Kent seamer David Griffiths will miss the rest of the season with a back injury that will require surgery.

The 29-year-old has featured in two T20 Blast games this season after suffering a tricep injury in pre-season.

Injuries have limited Griffiths to only 82 appearances in all formats since making his debut for Hampshire in 2005.

He managed to bowl only 63 overs for Kent last season, but took a career best 6-63 in a County Championship game against Gloucestershire in September.
