Eoin Morgan: Out-of-form England captain to miss Middlesex matches
- Published
England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan will miss four Middlesex games to rest before the Twenty20 and one-day series against Australia.
The 28-year-old will sit out three One-Day Cup matches and one County Championship fixture as he seeks to rediscover his best form with the bat.
Morgan averages only 6.67 in three One-Day Cup appearances and 10.17 from four games in the Championship.
"Eoin needs a rest," said Middlesex managing director Angus Fraser.
"He's been on the go since October 2014, and we believe a week or two away from cricket will allow him to recharge and to play the cricket he wants for the remainder of the season.

"He has been working his socks off away from matches trying to find the form he wants, and it has so far not brought the results he is looking for."
England play a one-off T20 game against Australia on 31 August before starting a five-match one-day series on 3 September.
Morgan, who was dismissed for a duck against Hampshire on Saturday, will be replaced as captain of Middlesex's one-day side by Championship skipper James Franklin.
