T20 Blast: Hampshire looking for sixth Finals Day in succession

Hampshire captain James Vince is confident his side can reach a sixth successive T20 Finals Day.

Worcestershire Rapids stand between Hampshire and their bid to reach the final four of the T20 Blast at Edgbaston on 29 August.

Hampshire lost against Lancashire in the T20 Blast semi-finals last year.

"We're coming off the back of some good results in the One-Day Cup and the Championship, so we've got momentum behind us," he told BBC Radio Solent.

The quarter-final at New Road on Friday will be Hampshire's seventh in successive seasons and Vince is desperate to make it six last-eight victories in a row against a side who have never reached Finals Day.

"Worcestershire are a team we haven't played a lot in one-day cricket recently," Vince added.

"They're an organised team that like to take pace off the ball with their bowlers and also have a couple of experienced batters.

"T20 is funny in that of lot of years in the past when teams won the competition, they've been the underdogs.

"Funny things can happen and we'll have to make sure we're switched on against Worcestershire."

Vince's side are likely to face England all-rounder Moeen Ali, released from international duty and made available to Worcestershire for the quarter-final.

"He's an international quality player, someone who is dangerous with both bat and ball," he added.

"We'll have to some good plans to him and maybe he is one guy with the ball that we don't target."
