World Cricket League: Guernsey promoted from Division Six

Guernsey have gained promotion from World Cricket League Division Six after a 22-run semi-final win over Norway.

Batting first, David Hooper top-scored with 37 and Matt Stokes hit 31 as Guernsey were bowled out for 173 off 48.4 overs, Damon Crawford and Raza Iqbal each taking three wickets.

Hooper then took 3-14 as Norway were dismissed for 151 in reply.

Guernsey face Suriname in Saturday's final, with both sides guaranteed a place in Division Five.

Guernsey were relegated from Division Five in March last year and will now be looking to go on and win the Division Six title for the second time after victory in 2011.

The island side have a perfect record after wins over Fiji,Botswana and Suriname saw them top their group.
