Jersey has been chosen to host the 2016 World League Five cricket tournament.

The island was selected ahead of Nigeria to stage the International Cricket Council 50-over event, which will also feature Tanzania and Oman.

Having won promotion to Division Four in March 2014, Jersey suffered immediate relegation back in June 2014 after finishing bottom of the group.

The tournament, from 21 to 28 May, will see the hosts face Guernsey after their promotion from Division Six.
