Northants 326 & 376: Levi 95, Duckett 70; Payne 4-75

Gloucestershire 261 & 35-2: Roderick 19; Sanderson 2-11

Gloucestershire (4 pts) need 407 more runs to beat Northants (6 pts)

Ben Duckett and Richard Levi impressed with the bat to make Northants firm favourites against Gloucestershire.

With a 109-run lead, Duckett (70) picked up where he left off while Levi (95) steadied the ship after four quick wickets, before being run out.

David Payne found himself on a hat-trick towards the end of the innings as the hosts were dismissed for 376.

Chasing 442 to win, Glos had 16 overs to negotiate but lost Gareth Roderick and Will Tavare to Ben Sanderson.

Victory in their final game of the season at Northampton would move the hosts above Gloucestershire, who host Sussex in their last match next week.
