Australia then played limited-overs series in India and South Africa in January and February, before returning to host the ODI leg of New Zealand's tour.

The remaining ODIs in Sydney (15 March) and Hobart (20 March) were postponed on 14 March because of coronavirus concerns - as was the subsequent Twenty20 series between the sides, scheduled to take place from 24-29 March in New Zealand.
