England spinner Jack Leach has left hospital after suffering from gastroenteritis during the second Test against New Zealand in Hamilton.

The 28-year-old, who was dropped for the final match of the series, was discharged on Monday afternoon after spending two nights in hospital.

England said he is "back in the team hotel and feeling better".

Leach is expected to fly home with the rest of the team on Wednesday.

Leach took 2-153 in England's innings-and-65-run defeat in the first Test last week.

New Zealand won the series 1-0 as the second Test was drawn.
