The Ashes: England given all-clear for day two at MCG after Covid-19 scare

England suffered a Covid-19 scare on the morning of the second day of the third Ashes Test after two of their support staff and two travelling family members tested positive.
England had testing after one family member returned a positive test.
All players tested negative but the start of play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground was delayed by 30 minutes.
Cricket Australia later said another family member and two of England's support staff had tested positive.
Play had been due to start at 23:30 GMT but England delayed leaving their hotel to wait for their test results.
They will undergo PCR tests later on Monday.
Cricket Australia confirmed the four positive tests in a statement released shortly before play.
"The entire playing group and all other support staff have all tested negative this morning," a CA statement read.
"England will also have PCR tests today, and both teams will take extra precautions throughout play.
"Both playing squads remain unchanged."
Australia resumed on 61-1 after England were bowled out for 185 on day one.
England, who are 2-0 down in the five-match series, must win in Melbourne to have any hope of regaining the Ashes.
Due to higher Covid rates in Melbourne, the team have been subjected to stricter living arrangements than for the previous Tests in Brisbane and Adelaide.
