Derbyshire all-rounder Anuj Dal has signed a new two-year contract extension with the club.

The 27-year-old has scored 2,698 runs and taken 79 wickets in all formats during his six seasons with Derbyshire since making his debut in 2018.

In a fine 2023 season, he hit his maiden List A century and claimed career-best red-ball bowling figures.

Dal's new deal will keep him at the County Ground until at least 2026.

"Anuj is an extremely important player, and I'm delighted to extend his contract with Derbyshire," head of cricket Mickey Arthur said., external

"He's constantly working to improve his game and it's clear from his performances that he has what it takes to win us matches."

Dal's new contract follows the signings of former Nottinghamshire all-rounder Samit Patel and batter Aneurin Donald from Hampshire for next season.

Seamer Pat Brown has also joined the club from Worcestershire.

"I'm really pleased to have extended my stay at Derbyshire," Dal said.

"Mickey, the coaching staff and my team-mates have put faith in me and my role within the side, and I want to keep repaying that by contributing to results.

"Mickey's vision, and the way the squad is shaping up is extremely exciting for the years to come. I can't wait to get back out there next season, as I feel success is just around the corner."
