The race for a place in the World Cup semi-finals has come to a thrilling end.

New Zealand have sealed the final spot to join Australia, India and South Africa in securing a place in the knockouts.

Eight teams have secured their place at the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan too.

India

India are guaranteed both a place in the semi-finals and top position in the group. They will face New Zealand on Wednesday, 15 November.

South Africa

Points: 14

South Africa are also through to the semi-finals and will face Australia on Thursday, 16 November.

Australia

Points: 14

Australia are through to the semi-finals after their dramatic three-win wicket over Afghanistan. They will face South Africa on Thursday, 16 November.

New Zealand

Points: 10

New Zealand are through to the semi-finals after their win over Sri Lanka on Thursday and defeats for Pakistan and Afghanistan. They will face India in Mumbai on Wednesday, 15 November.

Pakistan

Points: 8

Pakistan can no longer reach the semi-finals after their defeat to England in their final group game.

Afghanistan

Points: 8

Afghanistan saw their chances of reaching the semi-finals snuffed out with defeat to South Africa in their final match. Their sixth-placed finish has seen them qualify for the Champions Trophy.

England

Points: 6

England are out of the World Cup after losing to Australia in the seventh match of the tournament. Two wins to end the tournament secured their place at the Champions Trophy in 2025.

Bangladesh

Points: 4

Bangladesh were eliminated after their defeat by Pakistan in their seventh match. They secured a place at the Champions Trophy despite losing their final game.

Sri Lanka

Points: 4

Sri Lanka cannot make the semi-finals following their defeat by Bangladesh in their eighth match. They also failed to qualify for the Champions Trophy.

Netherlands

Points: 4

The Netherlands' hopes of making the last four were officially ended by their loss to England in their eighth match. They also failed to qualify for the Champions Trophy.
