Hampshire have signed Australian international Michael Neser for this summer's T20 Blast.

The 33-year-old bowling all-rounder has spent the past three years with Glamorgan.

He is available for the first eight Blast matches across May and June - including a return to Cardiff - and potentially a County Championship game.

"I am very excited to have joined Hampshire and can't wait to join up with the squad," Neser said.

"It looks to be an amazing place to play cricket and hopefully I can contribute to more success on the pitch."

Neser has picked up 130 wickets in T20 matches, at an average of 23.74, while he has accumulated more than 350 first-class scalps at an average of just over 24.

The right-armer is also a useful lower-order batter and made back-to-back County Championship centuries last season, with 487 runs from just seven innings.

He also collected 20 wickets, at an average of 26, in just six appearances and took a hat-trick in the Championship match against Yorkshire in May.

Neser made his Australia Test debut in the Ashes in Adelaide in December 2021, and won his other cap against West Indies at the same ground 12 months later.

He has picked up four ODI caps - between June 2019 and September 2023 - and recently won the Big Bash for the second time during a spell with Brisbane Heat.
