All-rounder Ben Green has signed a 12-month contract extension with Somerset until the end of the 2025 season.

The 26-year-old was the club's leading wicket-taker during last season's title-winning Vitality Blast campaign with 30.

Green joined the Somerset academy in 2013 and went on to make his debut for the county three years later.

He has scored more than 1,300 runs and taken more than 80 wickets across all formats since.

"Ben's performances and contributions on and off the field across white-ball cricket in recent years have gone from strength to strength," said Somerset director of cricket Andy Hurry.

"This has culminated in a standout season for him in 2023.

"Ben is also continuing to develop and push for more opportunities in Championship cricket, and we are all excited to see him develop further over the next couple of seasons and push to achieve even more within the game."
