Blair Tickner: New Zealand bowler signs for Derbyshire

Derbyshire have signed New Zealand fast bowler Blair Tickner for the start of their 2024 season.

The 30-year-old has 202 career wickets in first-class cricket and made his international Test debut against England in 2023.

Tickner will be available for nine of Derbyshire's County Championship games and eight in the T20 Blast.

"I'm really excited to be playing in county cricket for the first time," Tickner told the club website., external

"Everyone I have spoken to in New Zealand says what a good club it is."

Tickner will complete his final four first-class games with current club Central Districts in the Plunket Shield before joining the county.
