Jack Morley: Derbyshire sign Lancashire spinner on loan
- Published
Spinner Jack Morley has joined Derbyshire on a season-long loan after agreeing a new three-year contract with Lancashire.
The 22-year-old has taken 25 first-class wickets in nine appearances for Lancashire, and last season claimed 32 second XI wickets for the Red Rose.
Morley will be available for all formats of the upcoming season.
Derbyshire's head of cricket Mickey Arthur said he was "excited" to welcome the "highly-rated prospect".
Lancashire have the option to recall Morley during the season if needed.
The addition of the spinner comes a day after Derbyshire lost Pakistan bowler Mohammad Amir for the early part of the season after he decided to return to international cricket.
