Graeme van Buuren: Gloucestershire's red-ball captain signs contract extension to 2026

Gloucestershire skipper Graeme van Buuren has signed a contract extension with the club until 2026.
The 33-year-old has just entered his ninth season with the county and his third captaining the red-ball team.
Van Buuren has scored 4,117 runs in 140 matches across all formats for the club, hitting seven centuries, and has taken 91 wickets.

Van Buuren began his career playing for Northerns and Titans in South Africa before moving to Bristol in 2016 and has also represented Birmingham Phoenix in the Hundred.
He was named captain of the red-ball side in 2022 and could pass 3,000 first-class runs for the club when Yorkshire visit the Seat Unique Stadium on Friday.
Their County Championship Division Two season opener against Derbyshire was abandoned due to bad weather, with no play possible across the scheduled four days.
