Superchargers won by 82 runs
Annabel Sutherland starred with bat and ball as Northern Superchargers clinched a thumping 82-run victory over Oval Invincibles in The Hundred's women's competition.
The 22-year-old all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 63 off 40 balls - her maiden fifty in the competition - as she and Australia team-mate Phoebe Litchfield (44) provided the bulk of the Superchargers' total of 146-4.
Rachel Slater claimed 2-11 for the Invincibles, but both Marizanne Kapp and Amanda-Jade Wellington went wicketless.
Linsey Smith and Kate Cross then combined superbly with the ball for the Superchargers with two wickets apiece in a devastating opening spell as the Invincibles collapsed to 23-5 off 22 balls.
Paige Scholfield and Wellington gave the Invincibles faint hope with counter-attacking knocks of 24 and 26.
However, Sutherland enjoyed a stellar day as she blew away the home side's lower order with four wickets in six balls - including Wellington - to wrap up the success in style.
What else do you need to know?
Superchargers' victory was their first in this year's edition of The Hundred and they move up to fifth place - a point behind the Invincibles in fourth.
Invincibles' total of 64 was the lowest in the history of The Hundred - both men's and women's - eclipsing the 73 that Southern Brave's women were bowled out for by the Invincibles in August 2021.
Sutherland made her top score and also claimed her best bowling figures in The Hundred in her ninth overall match in the tournament
Highly-rated youngster Davina Perrin, 17, scored eight on her debut for Superchargers. Perrin was signed by Birmingham Phoenix as a 15-year-old in 2022 but never made an appearance for them.
'Amazing from Sutherland' - what they said
Superchargers skipper Hollie Armitage: "Annabel was unbelievable today. What a signing and what a player!
"She has been amazing for us so far, and she is also a brilliant human. She is great to have off the field and her tactical awareness is great - she's been a real help to me."
Invincibles captain Lauren Winfield-Hill: "I thought we did a good job with the ball. They looked on target for 160 and we pegged it back well.
"But when you lose early wickets up top it's always going to be an uphill battle. They were hungry and just better than us today. We weren't quite at the races."
Hero of the match Annabel Sutherland of the Superchargers: "It's so nice to get a win on the board. We bowled really well and put it together with the bat."
