Australia and India are set to play their first five-match Test series in 34 years

India begin their five-Test tour of Australia on 22 November.

It will be the first Test series between the two sides consisting of five matches since India's 1991-92 tour of Australia, which the home team won 4-1.

India's most recent tours of Australia took place in 2018-19 and 2020-21, with India winning 2-1 on both occasions.

Although both are giants of the game, India are coming off a recent 3-0 home loss to New Zealand and need to win four of the Tests against Australia in order to guarantee a place in next year's World Test Championship final.
