Essex wicketkeeper Adam Rossington and pace bowler Jamal Richards are to leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of the month.

Rossington joined Essex in 2022 but signed a T20-only agreement before the start of the season which ended last month, replacing the last year of his previous deal.

The 32-year-old made five T20 appearances for the club in 2025, scoring 70 runs, and played 68 games in total for the county.

Richards, 21, came through the Essex academy before making his first-class debut in 2022.

He joined Kent on a short-term loan early in the 2025 season before returning to Chelmsford to make four appearances in the 50-over One-Day Cup.
