Warwickshire have re-signed all-rounder Keith Barker on a 12-month deal from next season.

Barker, who turns 39 in October, spent 10 seasons at Edgbaston between 2009 and 2018 - taking 357 wickets and scoring six first-class centuries - and helping the club win the County Championship title in 2012.

He moved to Hampshire ahead of the 2019 season and has taken 191 wickets and scored 1,975 runs for the club.

Baker has not played so far this summer, having recently returned from a 12-month ban for testing positive for a prohibited substance during a routine drugs test last summer.

"I'm really looking forward to playing for Warwickshire again. I've got so many great memories from my previous ten years there, it kind of feels like I am coming home," Barker told the Warwickshire website., external

"I truly believe the team have got the potential to challenge at the very highest level, and I can't wait to get back out there and show I can still add something to the side."

Bears first-team coach Ian Westwood said the return of Barker was "a strategic short-term" move that will bring "proven quality and invaluable experience to our squad for 2026".
