Batter Harry Came has signed a two-year contract extension with Derbyshire.

Came has scored more than 4,000 runs in all formats since joining the club in 2021 following his release by Hampshire.

The 27-year-old made his fifth century for Derbyshire against Essex in the One-Day Cup in August, scoring a List A career-best 139.

"Harry has bought into the role we see for him in our batting line-up and his improvement is clear to see," said Derbyshire head of cricket Mickey Arthur.

"He's on course to be one of our leading run-scorers in red-ball cricket this season, as well as playing an effective role for us in the shorter formats.

"He's approaching the prime of his career and we are very excited to see what he can do over the next couple of seasons."
