Glamorgan raced to a seven-wicket victory over Surrey after shooting the home side out for just 121 in 34 overs, with spinner Ben Kellaway claiming victims with right and left-arm bowling.

Glamorgan's bowlers shared the wickets, but it was 20-year-old Kellaway who caught the eye as he became the first man to claim wickets with both arms in a county cricket innings since Kent’s Charles Rowe in 1980.

Ben Foakes top-scored for Surrey with 44, but it was not enough as Glamorgan eased to their second Metro Bank One Day Cup victory.

Colin Ingram’s 39 not out got the visitors home inside 16 overs by mid-afternoon.

Glamorgan made the most of the new ball and early movement, as badly depleted Surrey slipped to 11-3 inside six overs against Timm van der Gugten and Jamie McIlroy.

Foakes and Rory Burns added 53 before Dan Douthwaite struck twice in two balls in his second over.

The bemused Surrey batters then had to cope with the cricketing oddity of the ambidextrous Kellaway swapping bowling methods within an over, the Welshman removing both Conor McKerr and Matt Dunn.

Foakes was seventh out for 44 to Andy Gorvin (2-20) with McKerr’s 25 the only other contribution of note and there was no way back for the home side.

Despite life remaining in the wicket, Surrey’s seamers could not impose any discipline.

Glamorgan lost Will Smale for 14, Eddie Byrom for 28 and Kiran Carlson for 16 but always scored rapidly.

Ingram, back after a brief spell at The Hundred, showed his class with seven fours and a six as Glamorgan strolled to victory.

Glamorgan batter Colin Ingram told BBC Sport Wales:

“It was a good toss to win, the wicket looked a bit damp this morning and our bowlers really set the tone to put them under early pressure.

“If we got off to a half-decent start, the game was wrapped up but we want to take positive options throughout the campaign so we didn’t hang back.

“Ben Kellaway is an exciting talent, it’s one for Instagram to get one with the left and one with the right arm off-spin. Credit to him, it takes a lot of work and a lot of talent.”
