Notts sign Aussie all-rounder Sams for 2025 Blast

Notts Outlaws have signed Australia all-rounder Daniel Sams for next summer's T20 Blast.

The 32-year-old has spent the last three domestic seasons with Essex. scoring more than 2,000 runs and taking 214 wickets in T20 cricket.

Sams appeared in 10 T20 internationals between 2020 and 2022, the most recent against England in Perth when he took the wicket of Harry Brook.

"It was a priority for us to bring in an experienced overseas player who can contribute with bat and ball," said Notts head coach Peter Moores.

"Adding Dan to the group is a great start in building a team that will entertain our supporters and win us games in the season ahead."

Left-arm paceman Sams is already familiar with the Nottingham environment, having also played for Trent Rockets in The Hundred in 2022 and 2023.

"I really enjoyed my time at Trent Bridge for The Hundred, so it’s really cool I’ll be returning for the Blast with Notts," he said.

Notts will play Birmingham Bears in their first T20 Blast game on 30 May 2025.
