Jersey's women ended their 2024 season with impressive back-to-back Twenty20 wins over Gibraltar.
Having won the Challenger Division of the European Cricket Championships in Malaga on Saturday they kept up their good form with victories on Sunday and Monday at Europa Point.
In their first game Jersey needed just eight-and-a-half overs to chase down a target of 60 as they cruised to an eight-wicket victory against a Gibraltar side ranked two places above them in the world rankings.
Skipper Chloe Greechan took two wickets for just two runs in her four overs while Grace Wetherhall had figures for 2-9 as only two home batters reached double figures.
In reply, Aimee Aikenhead scored 18 while fellow opener Analise Merritt recorded 17 not out as Jersey reached 61-2 in 8.3 overs.
In Monday's second game, Merritt, Flo Tanguy and Georgia Mallett each took two wickets as Gibraltar were bowled out for 72 in 17.5 overs with Noelle Laguea's score of 26 off 25 balls the highlight for the hosts.
Merritt and Aikenhead again excelled with the bat as the pair put on an opening wicket stand of 54 before Aikenhead was caught for 19 off 21 balls.
Merritt went on to make 26 not out from 17 balls and rounded off Jersey's tour with a six to see the islanders win by nine wickets as they reached 76-1 off six-and-a-half overs.
