Gloucestershire's Phillips signs three-year deal

Gloucestershire batter Joe Phillips has signed a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.

The 22-year-old opener has made 14 appearances across first-class and List A cricket since making his debut in July 2023.

Phillips scored his maiden first-class century with 136 against Middlesex in August.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be re-signing with Gloucestershire. I'm really grateful for the opportunities and support the club has given me since joining the academy six years ago, and I'm excited to commit my future here," he told the club's website., external

"It's a privilege to keep developing alongside such a great group of players and staff.

"With some new faces coming in, there's a real positive feel around the club, and I believe we're in a great position moving forward. I hope to play my part in contributing to our success in the coming years."

Phillips has scored 741 runs in 11 first-class matches, at an average of 41.16.
