Fernandes extends Middlesex deal to 2027

Nathan Fernandes has signed a new contract that will run through until at least the end of the 2027 season

Middlesex have announced that Nathan Fernandes has signed a new contract with the club that will run through till at least the end of the 2027 season.

The 20-year-old left-arm orthodox spin bowler and left-handed batter signed his first professional deal in November of 2022 and following his red ball debut in 2024 he has made a total of eight first-class appearances for the club

"Nathan is a rare talent," director of cricket, Alan Coleman said.

"He has shown this since a very young age, all the way through our Youth Pathway and Elite Player Group system.

"His dedication to improving his game, to working hard, to listening, and to embracing whatever challenges are in front of him, make him a real pleasure to work with.

"He is an exceptionally gifted cricketer and is someone that will just keep improving, he thoroughly deserves this opportunity, and we are really looking forward to seeing how his game develops in the years to come."
