Southern Brave 121 (97 balls): Wyatt 43 (33); Perry 3-21, Pavely 3-21
Phoenix won by 16 runs
Amy Jones hit her maiden half-century in The Hundred and then produced a record-breaking performance behind the stumps as Birmingham Phoenix beat Southern Brave by 16 runs in the women's competition.
Jones top-scored with 51 off 36 balls, while Emily Arlott chipped in with a 12-ball 22 as Phoenix posted a competitive 137-7.
Tilly Corteen-Coleman was the pick of the Brave bowlers at Edgbaston as the 16-year-old left-arm spinner claimed 2-22.
Phoenix skipper Ellyse Perry ripped through the Brave top order as she took 3-21, including the key wickets of Maia Bouchier and Smriti Mandhana.
Danni Wyatt whacked a defiant 43 off 33 balls but as soon as she and Freya Kemp (23) were out, Brave's effort faltered as they were bowled out for 121.
England wicketkeeper Jones snaffled six catches with the gloves - the most dismissals of any wicketkeeper in the history of the women's tournament.
What else do you need to know?
Winless Brave are bottom of the table in the women's competition after four matches while Phoenix are up to fifth spot after chalking up back-to-back victories.
Phoenix duo Ellyse Perry and Charis Pavely both claimed their best figures in The Hundred as the pair finished with 3-21 off 15 and 20 balls respectively.
Jones' half-century was her first in The Hundred in her 26th match in the tournament, eclipsing her previous top score of 48* against Welsh Fire last year.
Phoenix's Jones had previously recorded five innings of between 40 and 49, four of which she finished not out.
Emily Arlott's score of 22 for the Phoenix was her joint-best highest score in the tournament.
'A great feeling' - what they said
Hero of the match Amy Jones of Birmingham Phoenix: "It's always good to come through for the team on a personal level, and to get a win on the board is a really great feeling. Going into the match we were looking at 140 or 150 so we were a bit short of that.
"Emily Arlott's innings was the difference and the way in which she cleared the boundary with ease was exactly was we needed.
"Perry's start with the ball was unbelievable. When you have someone like that in your team and she gives these types of performances it's a huge lift for everyone. I thought we were great in the field and backed up the bowlers."
