Somerset batter Will Smeed has signed a contract extension to remain at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
The 24-year-old starred during Somerset's six-wicket victory over Hampshire in September's T20 Blast final at Edgbaston, smashing 94 off just 58 balls to claim the player of the match award as his club picked up their third Blast title.
The club also confirmed Smeed will be available for both red-ball and white-ball cricket after he amended his contract to enable him to play all formats in March.
"Somerset is where I've been for my whole career, so this feels great," Smeed, whose previous deal was due to expire next year, told the club website., external
"I love the group, I love the ground, I love the members and supporters, and I just love playing my cricket here.
"Last season's Vitality Blast win was very special and experiences like that just make you hungry for more.
"I want to break into the [County Championship] team and solidify my place in red-ball cricket. That's definitely a goal for this year."
Smeed has scored 2,290 runs in 81 T20 games for Somerset since making his debut against Worcestershire in 2020, hitting 17 half-centuries at an average of 30.13.
He also became the first player to hit a century in The Hundred - 101 not out off 50 balls - while playing for Birmingham Phoenix against then-defending champions Southern Brave in 2022.
