Kent bowler Nathan Gilchrist has joined Middlesex on loan for the remainder of the One-Day Cup.
The 25-year-old will complete a permanent move to Warwickshire at the end of the season after signing a three-year deal with the Division One club.
Gilchrist has taken 28 wickets in 27 list A matches at an average of 36.53.
He will feature for Middlesex in Group B, but will be unavailable for selection against Kent Spitfires on Tuesday, 19 August.
"With a number of our pace bowling unit currently out with injuries and others returning to fitness, it's important that we manage the workloads of the quick bowlers in the squad," Middlesex's director of cricket Alan Coleman told the club's website, external.
"Adding someone of Nathan's quality allows us to do that and we are delighted to have added him to the pace ranks.
"He adds genuine pace, plenty of experience, and gives our attack something different, as we look to build on a promising performance and victory against Sussex at Lord's on Sunday."
Middlesex are next in One-Day Cup action at Durham on Wednesday.
