Ireland to take uncapped quintet to Bangladesh

Cade Carmichael is one of five potential Test debutants for Ireland in Bangladesh

Ireland have included five potential Test debutants in their squad for the tour of Bangladesh next month.
Cade Carmichael, Liam McCarthy, Jordan Neill and Stephen Doheny have all been included in a red-ball side for the first time, while leg-spinner Gavin Hoey has been in previous panels without earning a first Test cap.
The tour sees Heinrich Malan's side play two Tests, which will be Ireland's first red-ball matches since facing Zimbabwe in February, and a trio of T20 internationals.
After missing the 2-0 T20 series defeat by England last month through injury, seam bowlers Josh Little and Mark Adair will both return for the white-ball portion of the tour which will be a key part of the preparation for next year's World Cup.
"Whenever you add the firepower of those two guys and the experience that they've got in T20 cricket, I think it'll bolster any attack," said assistant coach Gary Wilson.
"Our attack was a little bit under-strength against England and it'll be pleasing to get those guys back in.
"Mark has played in leagues around the world, as has Josh now, and we've no doubt that they will really strengthen our attack."
Tim Tector also returns to the T20 panel, while Ben Calitz has retained his place after making his debut against England.

The build-up to Ireland's series with England in Dublin was dominated by talk of the host's lack of cricket through the summer.
With such a gap since their most recent Test, the turnover of players includes the retirement of opening batsman PJ Moor. Indeed, only seven of the 15-strong Test squad were present when Ireland were last in Bangladesh two years ago.
While Wilson reiterated that the squad were "after a bit more cricket this summer", he is now looking forward to seeing the new players in Test action.
"In an ideal world we would have a little bit more first-class cricket and actually a little bit more Test cricket as well, I suppose, but to see how those guys will fare will be brilliant.
"Obviously we were aware that we weren't going to play any first-class cricket about halfway through the summer, so we began to just get some red ball cricket into the guys sporadically through the summer at different parts for different players.
"There has been preparation going on, albeit only in the nets, really. So we're looking forward to it."
